Here's a large rectangular cloth that features a sleeping Mexican, women with pottery, fruit and cacti in tangerine, scarlet, green and blue. I purchased this cloth at the 2009 Homer Laughlin China Collector's Association conference. This tablescape is from November 2009 when we had our larger table in the dining room for Thanksgiving.
This tabletop features Fiesta dinnerware, Pier One napkins, vintage Bakelite flatware and Mexican glass. The centerpiece includes souvenir pottery from Costa Rica and Belize. Fizz approves!
I enjoy collecting dishes made by the Homer Laughlin China Company, especially the Art Deco Fiesta, Harlequin and Riviera dinnerware lines. I'm always on the hunt for vintage tablecloths and other accessories to compliment my collection.
The background on my blog is gray to match my dining room walls. This lovely neutral shade showcases the colorware on my table. The other colors used on my blog reflect some of my very favorite pottery glazes: chartreuse, Harlequin yellow and scarlet.
If you like my tabletop or have questions, please leave a comment and I'll reply to you.
Go ahead...ask me about my deco dishes!
