Botanical Buckeyes

This week we're enjoying a vintage Wilendur Buckeye tablecloth for these first days of Fall.

I was happy to find a few buckeyes from trees near my office for use in the centerpiece.

The placesettings feature Fiesta dinnerware and Oneida Deauville silver plate flatware. The small oval platters make great underliners for the individual bakers. I was lucky to find these lemongrass platters at the Homer Laughlin outlet in July.

The vintage napkins are from my grandmother's collection. The horn napkin rings are a gift from a friend. I love how the rings shimmer in the candlelight.

The plates on which the votives are resting are from a Homer Laughlin line called "Flip Side." As the name implies, the decoration on the plate is on the reverse, making them excellent candle holders.

I'm sharing this botanical tabletop for Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

  1. Your table is lovely! I adore your tablecloth!!! Green is my favorite color and I knew when I saw the first photo that I was in for a treat! Thank you so much for a beautiful table.
One question, do you know if Candy did away with the forum she started on TLRT? I've been away for awhile and couldn't find it on her sidebar.
    Thanks,
    Susan

  2. Thank you, Susan! I'm so glad you like it. You know, I don't see Candy's forum there either. Perhaps she did take it down while she has been focused on helping Mr. TLRT recuperate. Thanks for stopping by!

  5. This is just beautiful! I really love the tablecloth. I have tried to get one of those on ebay, but they are usually really expensive if they are in good condition. Buckeyes are everywhere, so I can send you all you need, lol!! Love your fiestaware too. Thanks for stopping by!!

  10. Gorgeous Table. As a Buckeye myself (go OSU!)I was awed by your table linen! Your greens are complimented by your table and I did not know there was a Homer Laughlin outlet - you lucky girl! I love the table on your banner, too.
