The Colors of Love

Welcome to The Colors of Love!

I'm part of a group of far flung dish friends who love to share ideas for incorporating our passions for dishes and vintage tablecloths into our daily lives. Gathering collections of beautiful things to use and not just display, we are known as the Dish Divas or Tablecloth Fairies, as we often bestow unexpected gifts upon our fellow collectors and share a mutual love for Homer Laughlin dinnerware and both contemporary and vintage table linens. Today we're having our first linky party, hosted by

Candy at The Little Round Table.

Other divas participating in today's party include~

Elaine from Dishing With CaraFaye

Becky from Random Musings of a Deco Lady

and of course all of
YOU!

Here's wishing you a most Happy Valentines Day from
Coast-To-Coast and Shore-To Shore around the world!

Scarlet is the color of love on my tabletop.

The goods~

reproduction Valentine cloth by Moda
Pier One napkins
HLCCA polka dot Fiesta dinnerware

Villeroy and Boch Boston glassware
Anchor Hocking Ruby Red tumblers

I'm also sharing this table for Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch and Alphabe-Thursday at Jenny Matlock, where the letter of the week is R. After all, scarlet by its other name of red is still the color of love!

  5. Hi Daphne, Yes, red is the color of passionate love and I am passionately in love with those vintage vases! I have never seen one! I see that you live near Boston--we were so happy there, but left to go to grad school and then work in NYC. I am following you so I can keep up with your new tables and your adventures in Boston! 23. Such a great table, but the gumdrop tree stole my heart. This takes me back to my youth and my grandmother's gumdrop tree that somehow just disappeared. Thanks for the lovely memory.

  35. Thank you for your kind words, everyone! I'm so glad you came to the table! For those in shopping mode, the gumdrop tree came from Solutions and the tablecloth came from Nanalulu's Linen Closet, both on-line vendors just a google search away. The candy hearts on the gumdrop tree came from CVS. Vintage Valentine vases are lurking on ebay, in thrift shops and antique stores everywhere. The four seen here were all made in Japan.

    Happy Valentine's Day!

Now I just have to have a couple! Just when I think I don't need another thing! My Valentine Party is Sunday so I will be posting some photos on my blog later.
