Most tablecloth collectors I know have an active wish list of "most desired" cloths. I was lucky to find one of my tabletop most-wanted's at the last Brimfield fair earlier this month. It's the perfect time of year for these Wilendur Autumn Leaves to fall on the tabletop...and the perfect day. It's time for Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch !
The leaves on this cloth are done in a naturalistic style, so I continued that theme in the centerpiece, using acorns, buckeyes and leaves from the yard "under glass."
A squirrel candle holder is a most appropriate addition, don't you think?
The placesettings feature post-86 Fiesta dinnerware in juniper, ivory, chocolate and cinnabar. The napkin ring is also from the Fiesta line.
The flatware is Oneida Deauville.
That little squirrel gets around, doesn't he?
The Villeroy & Boch Boston glassware rests on vintage aluminum coasters in a leaf design.
Other items on the table include contemporary marigold napking and Fiesta prep bowls in chcolate and marigold.
These bowls are a new addition to the Fiesta line, and they are great for both preparation and serving. Special thanks to my dish buddy Crystal for trading with me so that I could have a chocolate bowl. The bowls are sold in pairs of the same color, but Fiesta is all about the mix-n-match, so we collectors have dispatched parcels across the U.S. to obtain the colors we want!
I LOVE your table setting! I absolutely adore the tablecloth, too! Leaves are my thing and I can't get enough of them. The color combinations are beautiful and I love the new bowls. Thanks for sharing this beautiful table with us.

Hi Daphne - love the candleholders (and everything else, as well)!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful table cloth. Love how you have used the colors to highlight it. Cute candle holder!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ladies! It's great to have you at the table!
ReplyDeleteI am completely loving that tablecloth! I am such a fan of colorful vintage ones. This one made a perfect fall tablescape. And yes... the squirrels are a perfect fit too!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is quite stunning. I love the vintage fiesta. You brought out the fall in those colors. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAcorns under glass...how innovative!!! I like the squirrel candleholder, too. I wish the billions of squirrels in our yard were more cute than crazy!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love that vintage tablecloth! Wonderful colors to work with! Everything looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous tablecloth! Your colors of Fiesta pick up all the beautiful shades in the tablecloth. I love the little squirrel candleholder, too!
ReplyDeleteLove that tablecloth -- I'm a vintage linens lover. What an adorable little squirrel holding the candle and what a great acorn collection you have under your dome.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments! One word about the acorns under glass. If you try this, do make sure your acorns have dried a bit, or they will sprout in the nice warm environment of the dome! I also have one clarification to make: there is only one squirrel candle holder...I just kept moving him around to fill the shots! I would love to have a few more. Happy Tabletop!
ReplyDeleteI have come to have a greater appreciation of Fiestaware since finding blogworld. Your tablescape is charming, and your cloth is a treasure. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful. I have just started collecting Fiesta. I love the prep bowls. I will have to look for tablecloths! Love your centerpiece.

Hi Daphne -
ReplyDeleteWill try this again .... posted earlier and it apparently didn't stick. :(
Love this cloth for its realistic looking leaves and the colors of the leaves are especially pretty.
Great job!
