My tabletop features a lot of post-86 Fiesta dinnerware in placesettings. Today, in honor of Tabletop Tuesday at A Stroll Through Life, I'm sharing one of the funnest accesories of the Fiesta line, the blank ornaments.
These little gems are shaped like miniature plates. Usually they are decorated with decals for Christmas or some other holiday. The second-quality blank pieces are sold at the Homer Laughlin outlet, much to the delight of eager collectors.
A good dish friend recently sent me a blank ornament in the newest Fiesta color, paprika.
The arrival of this new addition inspired an ornament filled cornucopia centerpiece, also known as the Orn-U-Copia!
Add a few acorns and buckeyes, and you have a fun centerpiece that combines man-made and nature-made treasures.
Happy Tabletop Tuesday!
These are so cute! I guess you can only get them at an outlet?
ReplyDeleteI love it, so colorful!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteDeb, many dealers in post-86 seconds pick up these blanks at the factory,so you may find them in antique malls that have booths of Fiesta seconds. Ebay is also a good source.
Happy Hunting!
I've never heard of them before. How great are they. Love all the fabulous colors and they are so pretty the way you have them arranged. Thanks for linking to TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteCongrats on an inventive and attractive centerpiece!
