Mardi Gras is the perfect time to take the first Becky cloth for a spin on the tabletop.
Becky purchased this vintage stylized plaid tablecloth by Parisian Prints to go with her Knowles Ebonette dinnerware. I think it looks wonderful decked out in purple, green and gold.
These fleur-de-lis napkin rings are a treasured souvenir from New Orleans. They read Laissez les bon temps roulez!
The placesettings feature cream soup spoons to make sure that you get every last drop of gumbo!
I feel like I've kept the holiday well this year despite living in New England, where the pre-Lenten festivities are not widespread. We just returned from the Florida Gulf coast, where we introduced my 6 year old nephew to King Cake for the first time. And now my tabletop has celebrated as well.
I've washed and photographed the rest of the Becky cloths, so stay tuned for a lot of posts so that I can log the linens in my tablecloth database.
Love your New England Mardi Gras table. I'm trying to keep the festivities here in the Mid-Atlantic as well.....who wants to miss a good party? Your cloth is perfect with your green, gold and purple theme. Let the good times roll.....wherever you are!
