Welcome to Poinsettia East!
Perhaps you found you way here from Poinsettia West?
As many of you tabletop fans know, Candy at The Little Round Table maintains a fantastic tablecloth database to index her cloths. Well, when you can see what your friend has in her linen closet, why not plan a little double tabletop time?
This week we're working with solid red vintage tablecloths with metallic poinsettia prints for Seasonal Sunday at The Tablescaper. The name of this cloth is Royal Poinsettia.
Uncharacteristically, I do not have any Homer Laughlin dinnerware on the table today.
This tabletop features my wedding china: Waterford Ashworth dinnerware, Elberon crystal and Lenox Eternal gold flatware. I purchased the Japanese demitasse cups and saucers from the souk in Kuwait City long before I had any thoughts of marriage or tabletops!
A centerpiece forest of Crate and Barrel wire trees, Kate Spade tidbit plates and reindeer napkin rings from a thift store complete the setting.
The sun sets early in Boston, but there's still plenty of San Francisco sunshine for your visit to Candy's tabletop blooms at The Little Round Table !
Thanks for stopping by!
P.S. You can see how I used this cloth in December 2012 if you go here.
Good Morning Daphne!
ReplyDeleteNo sunshine here this morning either! It's a very foggy morning here on the fringes of the San Francisco Bay Area, with storms coming in from the Pacific later on today.
Wonderful visions of red here at Tabletop Time!
I don't think I remember ever seeing your wedding china before. It is gorgeous and the whole setup looks like it was meant to be together.
And how could we go wrong with the beautiful vintage red cloths? Just love the clear true red with the glittery metallic accents.
It's a Merry Merry time on both of our tables.
Candy
Looks great Daphne, the red and black looks very sophisticated! I love that you and Candy got together and coordinated tableclothes-fun:@)
ReplyDeleteI love this table setting. Gorgeous china, beautiful table cloth and the accents in silver are stunning. I agree very sophisticated and elegant!
ReplyDeleteWhoo! Speechless over the gorgeousness! Nicely done ladies!
ReplyDeleteAnd yet another variation. How beautiful! Thanks so much for being a part of Seasonal Sundays!

OK. I had to look up souk. But I've certainly heard of Kuwait. Were you ever in the service?
ReplyDeleteThe different dish patterns go so well together.
I love vintage things. (I'm vintage myself.) So the way you've work the modern Crate and Barrel trees in with the tablecloth, dishes and thrift store napkin rings is just great.
Thank you! I visited Kuwait just after the first Gulf War as part of a group of U.S. educators promoting U.S. Higher Education to high school students in the region. The trip was a wonderful experience!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!
