Ready for a polka dot party with cake and ice cream? Lots of new pieces are coming together on the tabletop for this week's contribution to Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.
The polka dot Fiesta dinner and salad plates are conference commemoratives from the 2010 gathering in Nashville in July. I was able to obtain a second placesetting thanks to a super trade with my friend Rebecca. Thanks, R!
This darling Broderie vintage tablecloth featuring child chefs is a Brimfield find, and it unites the dots with seamist and juniper Fiesta plates.
The placesettings also feature scarlet Fiesta flatware and vintage cocktail napkins.
Libbey Coca-Cola glasses from the dollar store and Bakelite teaspoons are ready for ice cream sodas. Smaller water glasses are ready just in case you get a sugar overload! The Fiesta disk pitcher holds plenty...
The new Fiesta cake server set make a great centerpiece while resting on a hostess bowl.
The handle of the cake server is reminiscent of the handles on the vintage after dinner coffee pieces.
Want a few sprinkles on your soda? Just ask for the Fiesta heart bowl!
How about a closer look at the children on the cloth?
Sparkle and Fizz thank you for taking a seat at the table!
I wanna' come! I wanna' come! Please, please, please invite me over. You have all my favorite colors! I love it!
ReplyDeletePerfect, and I love the coffee set!
ReplyDeleteYour dishes are a perfect complement to the tablecloth. I'm a new Fiestaware collector but I really love it. Your table reminds me why.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright, pretty table! That tablecloth is a real treasure -- and your Fiesta really shows it off beautifully! Love the polka dots!
ReplyDeleteDaphne, the green on this tablecloth just makes it so pretty. I've avoided getting into the Broderie style of figural cloths, but this one is exceptionally pretty. It's the green!

Love it all! Especially the red polka dot plates and the place mat--nice job!
ReplyDeleteReally cute, love your polk dots plates!
ReplyDeleteThe polka dots...the red...the green...the pop of blue....perfection with your precious vintage tablecloth. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun table!!! I love the cake server set. Who is selling this (if you don't mind me asking)?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cloth as always.
I love your Fiesta! I am a post 86 collector.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments! The Fiesta cake plate is a Macy's exclusive. It's not on-line yet, but many stores have them in stock. Mine came from the Herald Square location, the flagship store in Manhattan. They do ship directly from that store. This set is being offered in scarlet, lemongrass and ivory.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see so many Fiesta collectors at the table. May I recommend two other sites on the net for you?

Thanks for sharing about the cake plate. I went to our local Macy's but no luck. I told my fellow collectors here in El Paso and the are interested too. Love your blog.
