What's wrong with this picture?
Our Halloween lights should not, I repeat NOT, be casting a lovely orange glow on the SNOW!
This little Jack-o-Lantern should be sitting among the pods and colorful leaves and acorns of October, not the frosty stuff of December! Thank goodness it's warm and cozy inside, where we've been having a lot of fun with a vintage inspired tablecloth from Target.
We've had a birthday luncheon for my husband.
Now we're ready for supper. Perhaps desert should be first?
I especially like this tablecloth layered with a runner from Kohl's...so many great graphics on both textiles!
The placesettings feature Fiesta dinnerware with Hall pinch bowls and vintage Bakelite flatware and napkins.
The glassware and pitcher are vintage Anchor Hocking Rainbow.
Even Sparkle stopped to admire the layers of color...
...before he started his evening bath.
Happy Halloween from my tabletop to yours! I'm linking up to all of the other spooktacular tables at The Tablescaper's Seasonal Sunday.

Because Cats Like Halloween, Too!
Earlier this month I was excited to find this tiny Halloween runner with two cocktail napkins. The napkins are very similar to vintage cocktail napkins in my collection, and I'm pretty confident that these pieces are vintage as well. It's so hard to find vintage Halloween linens, but then how could I use these given the small size? The "My First Fiesta" teaset provided the answer.
Then Fizz let me know that this set was just perfect for cats. He started with a careful inspection
including a few sniffs
a paw push
and finally a little twirl of friendship!
Happy Halloween from Fizz!

Midnight Pastoral
At first glance, this 'scape appears to be yet another lovely showcase for the HLCCA's Retro Red Stripe Fiesta dinnerware, this time using a red, ivory and black on toile theme to celebrate the newly released rice bowls.
Upon closer inspection, something seems to be a little off. For example, what's in that centerpiece?
Could it be burrs?
Who would want burrs on their tabletop? Why skeletons out for a little midnight revelry, that's who!
We're peering in on the skeleton's table, where candles bleed....
...and bones hold your napkin!
This toile is called Midnight Pastoral. I think that makes a great name for this tablescape!
I'm sharing this Halloween fun for Tabletop Tuesday at A Stroll Through Life.

Decorating the Dishes: Part Two
Halloween Fiesta has taken over the kitchen shelves.
Homer Laughlin does not make as many seasonal Fiesta pieces as they did in the past, so some of these holiday lines are very hard to find now.
The vintage Oven Serve in the living room also got a little Halloween-ing.
I really like pieces inspired by vintage postcards.
I made this bell holder in 2000 right after I moved to Boston. Country Living magazine featured some cute felt pumpkin faces that year, and I was eager to try my own.
Pumpkins in the window boxes provide a great pop of color against the blue trim of the house.
I think we're ready for Halloween!
I'm sharing these decorated dishes for Seasonal Sunday at The Tablescaper.
